What I like about being a witness

Being a JW helped me to understand the meaning of insanity.

1)Everyone expecting you not to fall apart when you find out everything you believe

in was a lie.

2)One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's

work is terribly important.

I learned a lot from my time from that organization on lunacy.

Think about it, we were in "the one who flew over the cuckoo's nest" and most of

us came out with our minds intact and we learned so much about insanity.

much pressure they put on her) and I heard my 4 year old grandson in the background. So I told her

say hi to him fro me. She told him and he yelled out over the phone, I love you grand Pa.

I hate that organization and the damage it cause for families.

I read stories from you guys about the shunning , not knowing your grandkids and it's

painful. I also have another daughter( JW) and grand kids, haven't seen or talk to in 15 years..

My brother died last night

i found out this morning that my brother died last night, he was also an ex jw, 73 years old and died of heart disease and kidney failure.

it was not totally unexpected, as he had been in poor health, but it's a blow, especially as i just lost another brother two years ago.

there were six of us, now only four.

Is it me but have you notice the media lately especially commercials, interracial couples and gay

couples. The media is very powerful. That's why I have high hopes for mankind..

In the 70's talks shows were flooded with racial hate groups, the more you were expose to

their hate speech the more you could see their stupidity. We see the same with gays to day,

the WT is out of touch with todays society, more like folks in the OT.

in patterson there is a group of brothers, all of them baptized after 1975, a group of them are candidates to all new gb membership, as soon as new places will be included or some members will passed away.

clear details and info tell us that a new gb will be a us citizen with mexican background.. really funny to see that we can give light to our ex jw family months before it comes public :).

I cringe when I think about the talks I gave.

you brothers who gave talks do you thinks about the crap you spoke from the platform.. thirty years old, no knowledge what so ever of the world we live in, barely making the grade.

to graduate from high school, a year and half in jc college and now with schooling of jw higher.

education i thought i was a hell of a speaker.

Thanks folks I feel a little better now, I see I wasn't the only one full of themselves.LOL

I gave a slide presentation (preaching work in Belize,Mayas in the bush) in my congregation,

other congregations heard of about it and request to be shown in their congregation in the circuit.

I gave the presentation in two congregation before the brothers sent word it wasn't appropriate,

something about self exultation. But anyway the friends enjoyed the presentation, something

a little different than the book of Daniel that no one understood. Maybe because in the presentation a lady

we encounter ask for medicine for her child, she was topless.

Why is Mother's Day wrong?

so why is celebrating mother's day wrong according to witnesses?.

is it not an opportunity to show respect to the giver of life (mother) and therefore god, the originator of families?.

does it not give an opportunity for members of the family to give a hard working mother a day off?

I just saw Venus and Serena Williams with their mother " Happy Mother's Day."

My news station both standing with their mom hold a sign "Happy mother's Day".

I guess it's who you know or how much dough you have, you can honor your mom on Mother's Day.
